Camp No Worries is a week-long sleepover camp for children suffering from cancer – and their siblings – who are between the ages of 6 and 16. Usually held in late June/early July, the camp operates on the grounds of Camp Inawendiwin in Tabernacle, Burlington County, and is coordinated by the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties.  There is no charge for children and their siblings to attend the camp, but it costs about $1,000 per camper for the week’s activities. Camp No Worries’ budget is funded solely by charitable contributions and the more donations that are received, the more children are able to attend.

In its first year, 1995, Camp No Worries sponsored 14 patients for a four-night stay and the following year, when siblings were invited, the outing grew to 72 children for a full week.  Since then, the annual average has been between 80 to 100 campers for seven nights.

One of the founders of Camp No Worries, Kasey Hall-Massa – a childhood cancer survivor herself – wanted to help children and their families in her one-time situation ease their journey through the hectic, chaotic and frightening path of diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

“Our goal was a place where kids could just be kids and do the things that make them happy, the things that make them kids,” Hall-Massa said. This was the genesis of Camp No Worries.
